Purpose of the Position
The Organisational Development Officer (ODO) will help in the design and implementation of AJACS interventions to support the organisational development of service providers in moderate opposition-held areas of Syria. The Officer will help in building relationships between the project and key stakeholders. He or she will also coordinate work with other teams within AJACS, as well as with Syrian partners.
Primary Responsibilities:
Assist in the day to day administration of the Organisational Development Unit, including document preparation, arranging interviews, data entry and records management as instructed.
Assist the Organisational Development Manager (ODM) in developing work-plans.
Assist in developing and maintaining active working relationships with key stakeholders, towards meeting the objectives of organisational development related issues.
Work as contact person for Syrian partners, and establish good work relations with concerned members of the teams.
Assist in the preparation of material for mentoring and coaching sessions.
Coordinate with other components of AJACS in preparing activities under organisational development, including and not limited to the work of R2I in capacity development needs at the provincial and local levels.
Attend meetings with key stakeholders and prepare the minutes for each meeting.
Follow up on activities agreed during planning meetings, and prepare Activity Sheet concept notes in coordination with Syrian partners.
Prepare documentation and presentations for meetings.
Performs any other relevant duties that are assigned by ODM.
Essential:
- Fluency in spoken and written Arabic.
- A good working knowledge of English.

- Able to work effectively in a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Desirable:
Knowledge of Syria and the sensitivities of working in a conflict-affected area.
